SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS

Parkinson Lane C P School is an inclusive school, where we seek to provide a welcoming and safe environment in which every child is valued, cared for and supported.  Inclusion to us is about valuing all children equally, and reducing any barriers to learning and participation.

Our provision for children who have any type of Special Educational Need or Disability remains the responsibility of the class teacher, liaising with the school's Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to ensure that the right support is in place.  Partnership with parents and carers is crucial in making sure that there is a consistent approach and shared understanding of how to best meet every child's individual needs.

Our SENCO Lead is Miss Gemma Kenworth, along with Mrs Kathy Lefroy Owen.
