Initial Teacher Training

Lead the development of school led initial teacher training by working with HEIs to ensure that Alliance NQTs are highly motivated, excellent practitioners who understand the communities they serve and are immersed in a culture of development through collaboration.


Ensure a high quality continuum of professional development that meets the identified needs of schools within and beyond the Alliance.
Provide a range of training routes and opportunities across six areas of that develop leaders of the future.



School 4 School Support

Work in partnership with schools to provide effective and high quality support through the deployment of system leaders and exceptional professionals ensuring that sustainable school improvement is achieved and outcomes for children are improved.



Specialist Leaders of Education

Identify and support outstanding professionals to become accredited SLEs by further developing their existing coaching, mentoring and facilitation skills so that they can confidently work within and across schools to bring about sustainable improvement.



Succession Planning/Talent Management


Work with schools to identify talented professionals with the potential to lead and to support their further development so that they have the skills and confidence to become effective and outstanding leaders of the future both with the Alliance and more widely.



Research and Development

Engage with local and wider national research and development initiatives. Underpin all aspects of its high quality teacher led, evidence based enquiry and joint practice development.
