INTENT:  Our Ethos

At Parkinson Lane Community Primary School, our ambitious Computing curriculum aims to develop pupil's key skills and knowledge of Information Technology, Digital Literacy and Computer Science to ensure that they can stay safe, thrive and make a positive contribution to an increasingly 'digital' world.  We aim to develop transferable computational thinking skills amongst learners which have an important impact on their holistic development and attainment across the whole curriculum.  Through the teaching of Computational thinking concepts, we aim to teach children 'how to think' rather than 'what to think'.  A key focus of our personalised curriculum is to inspire children in their learning of Computing by enabling every child to see the potential that they possess to influence the world in a positive way.

At Parkinson Lane we are at the cutting edge of technology.  All of our classrooms and many teaching spaces are fully equipped with 75' & 65' Geene Screens, enabling us to image cast to any screen in our school.
