NOTICES for the Week
Monday: Class 3B & half of 3HL, will be visiting Murton Park in York for our Anglo Saxon Day. (8:00 am - 16:30 pm).
Tuesday: Class 3Z & half of 3HLwill be visiting Murton Park in York for our Anglo Saxon Day. (8:00 am - 16:30 pm).
Wednesday: Year 2 will be visiting Knowsley Safari Park.
Friday: No Dance.
Dinner money- from September 2019 there will be an increase in dinner money to £2.00, in preparation for this all outstanding balances will need to be cleared prior to September 2019.
Thank you to everybody for being patient and using the temporary visitor’s entrance whilst our building work is still ongoing. We will inform you all when the office entrance is accessible again.
You may now have seen that we are commencing building works in school. All children have now been made aware of alternative entrances to use when going to the dining room. Hopefully the work will not take too long and the result will be an improved dining room in the interest of all pupils.
Please ensure when letters are sent home via your child, these letters are acknowledged, and any reply slips are returned as soon as possible.
Breakfast club has now come to an end for this term. In the new term children who are selected will be sent home with a letter.
Can we remind parent’s school doors open at 8.50am and close at 9.00am promptly; any children who come to school after 9.00am will be given a late mark and this will affect their attendance.
As we are approaching a possible spell of unsettled weather, please be aware of the following procedures. In the event of snow, school will make all efforts to remain open. However if following a risk assessment, it is deemed unsafe to remain open, any closure will be reported in the following ways:-
*A closure notice will be placed on the Calderdale and our School Website at the earliest possible opportunity.
*A post will be placed on our Facebook page.
If school does have any closure days, please ensure your child refers to their Emergency Closure Pack.
As we increasingly become a cashless school, we would encourage you to familiarise yourselves with the Parent Pay system. You can use Parent Pay to make payments for school meals, milk and school trips currently. In the future we are hoping to allow payments for things like uniform items but we will inform you when this happens. If you are experiencing any issues with Parent Pay, please do call into the school office where someone with help (it is best to avoid 9am and 3pm as these are extremely busy times).
May we please request when paying dinner money for your child, it is paid for the full term. The total amount for this term is £28.80; this can be paid in the school office or to the class teacher.
Places have become available for the sewing class on Monday and Thursdays from 9.00 until 10.30pm. if you are interested or would like to make further enquiries please contact the school office.
Uniform is sold in the school office on Mondays and Fridays between 3pm and 4pm only.
